Reed cropped
cropped bull rush

The 27 acre site at Quarry Walk consists of Skinner's lake, grassland, and scrubland. There is the usual variety of reeds and bullrushes within the reedbeds themselves, as well as an abundance of flora and trees associated with the British countryside from hawthorn and blackthorn and brambles to great oaks.

The common reed that is found at Quarry Walk would be suitable for thatching purposes. Thatchers interested in cutting the reeds for that purpose, should not hesitate to get in touch. Email: Quarry Walk
