Over the next twelve months, an inventory is being carried out at Quarry Walk to discover more about the the variety of moths that are regular visitors to the reedbed.

On warm summer evenings, an abundance of butterflies, dragonflies and moths can be observed flying, buzzing and gliding around Skinners Lake and its surrounding vegetation.

Deep in the rushes, grass snakes and great crested newts are known to take advantage of the insect smorgasbord!
